While my son was young I picked up the camera to record our daily life. Mothering is a task involving enormous responsibility. I was interested in deciphering the visual signs left by the developing child and have photographed the messes that my son leaves for me as a way of combining my maternal and artistic practices. This project continued for a number of years and has been exhibited in number of venues including college and community Art Galleries as well as part of a web project, "Maternal Notes".  My favorite place was Total Dry Cleaners on York Blvd. in Highland Park where it was suspended with clothes pins from a line in the window as part of the Arroyo Art Collective's BID Project.
