This was a collaboration with M.A.M.A. members Athena Kanaris, Lisa Mann, and Lisa Schoyer. The title refers to the 1997 California state law that allows women to breastfeed in public. For this piece, a series of women and infants were videotaped breastfeeding from the mother's perspective on the very bench where the finished piece was viewed. The piece was originally displayed on a public bench at One Colorado in Old Town Pasadena for an outdoor art exhibition sponsored by New Town Pasadena. It was also shown at the Arena 1 Gallery in Santa Monica, Ave. 50 Studio, Los Angeles, and at the Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art, Chaffey College, California.
